I went diving on the beautiful local reefs, both from shore and the boat, I went snorkeling in stunning cenotes Siete Bocas and Kin Ha, in the second one I also booked an underwater photoshoot, my first experience of this kind. I have also booked multiple salsa and bachata classes to get myself better and tried soul for the very first time. Needless to say, my time in Puerto Morelos was full of experiences and I'm very glad I chose MExplor team as my guides to the fun times, I've also learnt a lot from professional dive guides and dance teachers. What’s the best season for fishing?

Fishing is great all year, but the peak season for big game (sailfish, marlin, mahi-mahi, wahoo) runs from March to August. From September to February, bottom fishing for snapper and grouper is excellent.

Is the sea rough?

Conditions are usually calm in the Caribbean side, especially near Puerto Morelos. Some offshore trips may encounter moderate waves, but our captains monitor the weather daily to ensure comfort and safety.

Do I need any fishing experience to join a trip?

Not at all! Our fishing charters are suitable for both beginners and experienced anglers. Our crew will guide you step by step — from baiting hooks to reeling in your first catch.

How long are the fishing trips?

Trips typically range from 4-hour half-day tours to 8-hour full-day adventures. Private charters can also be customized for special occasions or group sizes.
