bahia magdalena Freediving

Bahía Magdalena is not your typical freediving spot—but that’s exactly what makes it special. This vast bay system along the Pacific Coast offers a raw, untamed experience for adventurous freedivers. While not a commercial freediving hub, exploring here means connecting with nature in its purest form. During whale season, you may even hear the haunting songs of gray whales underwater—an unforgettable moment for any freediver.

FAQs

What’s the difference between freediving and snorkeling?

Snorkeling stays at the surface, while freediving involves diving down on a single breath with training in breathing, equalization, and safety techniques.

Depth goals vary: AIDA 1 (intro) focuses on shallow water; AIDA 2 may reach 12–20 m; AIDA 3 and higher train deeper with advanced safety methods.

Freediving is safe when properly trained and supervised. We emphasize safety, buddy protocols, and never diving alone.

Yes, beginners can start with an AIDA 1 course or an intro session to see if it’s right for them.
